SAS Institute, Inc. (2021 – Present)
Digital Operations Project Manager – JMP
Cary, NC
Near the end of 2021, I started my career at SAS as a Digital Operations Project Manager in the JMP division. In this role, I’m currently managing software implementation projects and data migration projects. I’ve also been working to establish a PMO for the JMP division of SAS to ensure that each project is being managed efficiently and is following project management policies, processes, and methods.
Being in this role has given me the opportunity to implement practical solutions to solve business problems, to approach project management from a different perspective, and to continue to grow as a project management professional.

Cisco Systems, Inc. (2020 – 2021)
Project Manager – 3rd Party Vendor Onboarding
Research Triangle Park, NC
If you’d told me that I would land a job at Cisco in the middle of a worldwide pandemic, I probably wouldn’t have believed you but, that’s exactly what happened. In March of 2020, as the world was shutting down, I was starting my career with Cisco as a Project Manager on the 3rd Party Delivery Enablement team. In this role, I managed projects to onboard the 3rd party technology partners whose products were integrated into Cisco’s solutions to Cisco’s support programs.
Managing these 3rd party projects gave me the opportunity to establish relationships externally as well as internally and to lay the foundation for Cisco’s support relationships with 3rd parties to thrive moving forward. Also, working in Customer Experience, I learned how to meet and juggle the demands of a 3rd party, the customer, and the business while still bringing the project in on time.

Li & Fung Limited (2014-2019)
IT Project Manager
Greensboro, NC | New York, NY | Kowloon, Hong Kong
My career at Li & Fung started near the end of my college career and allowed me to really immerse myself in project management practices. During my 5 years at Li & Fung, I worked on a variety of IT projects from simple infrastructure projects to complex ERP implementations, transitioned from a project management intern to an IT Project Manager, and relocated from Greensboro, NC to New York to live/work for a year with direct access to our PMO.
I worked closely with senior management to successfully align with the strategic goals of the business and meet those goals through the projects executed. I gathered a plethora of knowledge around financial management to add to my project management skills and successfully managed the over $10 million IT department budget annually. My project management work required traveling to work with teams in the New York, Hong Kong, North Carolina, California, and Georgia offices.

J Media Studios (2006-2015)
President
Raleigh, NC
At an early age, I created my own web design business based on the knowledge I obtained from teaching web design to kids at a non-profit called NC Connected. Through my web design business I provided custom website solutions for small businesses and non-profit clients across North Carolina. I was able to apply my early project management tools to each web design project by confirming stakeholder requirements, setting a timeline and budget, and managing the website development process so that we met our milestones. This role allowed me to explore my creativity, while applying business principles to successfully deliver the web design needs of my clients.

My college career at UNCG was a rewarding and unforgettable experience to say the least. The majority of my time in college consisted of being in class or spending hours in the lab diligently coding or studying with those who started as just Comp Sci counter parts but, quickly became my family. Perseverance was a bonus lesson not in the curriculum that we quickly learned as we watched the program eliminate a huge chunk of our class leaving only a hand full of us standing. Out of that experience relationships were formed to last a lifetime. In the little bit of spare time I had, I was an active member of the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) chapter on campus and the Student and Technology in Academia Research & Service (STARS) organization where I attended bi- weekly meetings, participated in group programs/activities, and developed training programs to introduce middle school students to technology.
UNCG gave me a group of inspiring peers, a determination to succeed, and the confidence to pursue my dreams — no matter how big.
